Two taken to hospital after 3-vehicle crash.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Three vehicles were involved in a crash at US 10-31 and Stiles Road Tuesday afternoon. Emergency personnel were dispatched at 5:23 p.m. According to law enforcement on the scene, a Chevrolet Impala driven by an 18-year-old Shelby woman was eastbound on US 10-31 and attempted to turn left colliding with a westbound Jeep Liberty, driven by a 56-year-old Ludington woman. The Impala then collided with a southbound Ford F-150 pickup that was stopped at the traffic light. 

Emergency units responding included Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Scottville Fire Department, and Life EMS. Ludington Fire Department rescue unit was dispatched and disregarded. 

The driver of the Impala and an 18-year-old female passenger, also from Shelby, were transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Other police activity for Tuesday, June 7, 2022 included: 

  • 1:52 p.m., Ludington Police Department: A 59-year-old Ludington man was arrested at US 10 and Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township, on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the 78th District Court of Oceana County. The original charge was driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was transported to the Oceana County Jail by the Michigan State Police. 
  • 5:30 a.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office: Car/deer crash, US 31 freeway south of US 10, Amber Township.
