LUDINGTON — Voters in Ludington Area School District will go to the polls on May 3 to decide on a proposal that will allow the school district to continue to levy the building and site sinking fund millage that expires within the 2022 tax levy. The district is asking for a .25 mill renewal for 10 years, which will raise about $369,565 in 2023. The sinking fund is used for construction or repair of school buildings. This is a continuing millage that existed prior to the 2019 1.71 mill increase for 30 years that is raising $100 million which has funded construction of Ludington Elementary School and the upcoming renovations at the high school and middle school, among other facility improvements.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3.
