LUDINGTON — The following court proceedings recently occurred in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Culp

-Deanna Renee Culp, 47, of 765 W. Jefferson St., Apt. 24, Evart, was arrested March 6 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of third-offense operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor (OUIL) and driving while license suspended (DWLS). Probable cause hearing: March 16 at 1 p.m. Bail: $1,000 cash.

Bowman

-Brenna Leigh Bowman, 38, of 505 S. Washington Ave., Ludington, was arrested March 8 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy) and possession of a controlled substance (narcotic/cocaine). Probable cause hearing: March 23 at 1 p.m. Bail: $500 cash.

Misdemeanors
-Zachary David Skoog, 34, of 6682 W. Basswood, Hamlin Township; March 7; Ludington Police Department (LPD); OUIL with child endangerment and fourth-degree child abuse. Pretrial: April 4 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $500 personal recognizance.
Sentencings
-Jeffery Scot Madison, 51, of 3364 E. Fisher Rd., Bay City, pleaded guilty March 9 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for four days served. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of operating with a blood alcohol level of .17 or above and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle where dismissed.
-Dustin Joseph Shereda, 33, of 6854 Beech St., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty March 9 to operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .17 or above and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 180 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random breath tests; must complete SBIRT program; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $925 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
-Brian William Pleiness, 36, of 3872 S. Tuttle Rd., Eden Township, pleaded guilty March 9 to OWI and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random breath tests; must attend victim’s impact panel; must complete SBIRT program; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $925 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

-Dylan Duayne Drake, 25, of 8719 E. Monroe Rd., Walkerville, had charges of operating a vehicle without insurance and operating with a suspended license dismissed on March 7 as part of a plea deal.
