Suspicious person complaint at Walmart leads to arrest of man wanted on multiple warrants.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A  37-year-old Gwinn, Michigan man was arrested after Mason County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a “suspicious subject” complaint at Walmart on US 10 Tuesday, March 8, shortly after 3 p.m., according to Mason County Undersheriff Derrek Wilson

The man was wanted on five failure to appear warrants issued in Mecosta County’s 77th District Court, said Undersheriff Wilson. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

The following is other police activity in Mason County Tuesday, March 8, 2022:

• 12:19 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 28-year-old Scottville man was arrested on a warrant issued in Manistee County for failure to appear for a show cause hearing, State and Columbia streets, City of Scottville.  He was transported to Manistee County and turned over to the Manistee Police Department.
• 5:05 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 near Tuttle Road, Custer Township.
• 6:43 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 39-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a drug possession charge, ​500 block of South Washington Ave​nue, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:39 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Benson Road near Stolberg Road, Sheridan Township.
• 9:07 p.m., (MCSO), a 56-year-old Fountain man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and open intoxicants, Campbell Road near Johnson Road, Branch Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
