LUDINGTON — The following criminal proceedings took place in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felony Arraignments

Sweet

-Margaret Ann Sweet, 65, of 5046 N. US 31, Sherman Township, was arrested Feb. 4 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charges of delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and fourth offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.

Sentencings

-Dylan Scott Maiville, 20, of 9104 W. 11 Mile Rd., Irons, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) on Feb. 9 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random breath tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; must attend victim’s impact panel; must continue current counseling program; no marijuana/controlled substances; must maintain employment; must obtain high school diploma; and $675 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

Dismissals

-Bret David Zacharda, 51, of 301 E. Court St., Ludington, had a charges of third-degree retail fraud, possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license dismissed on Feb. 9 as part of a felony plea agreement.
