New ministry serves disabled adults, holding informational meeting.

LUDINGTON — Blue Hat Ministries will host a public informational meeting on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. in the West Shore Bank Room of the Ludington branch of the Mason County District Library. Blue Hat Ministries serves disabled adults, specifically individuals the courts have deemed in need of a legal guardian.

“We help dependents in coordination of medical, financial and housing issues,” said ministry founder and director Lena Bluestein. “There is a huge need for this service in Mason county and all over the state. I have been serving as a guardian for three-plus years and decided to establish this non-profit so that people can join with me in supporting these individuals through volunteering and through financial support / sponsorship.”

Bluestein said she the informational meeting is open to anyone. She said she would like to see some organizations and churches become involved in her ministry and is hoping some may send delegates to the forum.
