LUDINGTON — The following criminal proceedings took place in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felony Arraignments

Alexander

-Scott David Alexander, 60, of 2233 N. Sherman Rd., Hamlin Township, was arrested Dec. 25 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on a felony charge of third-offense domestic violence. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.

Moore

-Sabastian Dean Moore, 29, of 517 S. Johnson Rd., Hart, was arrested Dec. 24 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on a felony charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault). Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.

Tanis

-Tammy Louise Tanis, 58, of 110 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was arrested Dec. 22 by LPD on a felony charge of unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash.

Cushman

-Meredith Anne Cushman, 38, of 906 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was arrested Dec. 26 by Michigan State Police (MSP) on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

Durham

-Michael Mason Durham, 31, of 306 E. State St., Scottville, was arrested Dec. 28 by Michigan State Police (MSP) on a felony charge of third offense domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance. 

Schilling

-Kyle Frederick Schilling, 33, of PB Box 326, Walhalla, was arrested Dec. 22 by MCSO on two felony counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $5,000 cash.

-Kelly Christine Knutson, 28, of 1950 S. Scottville Rd., Custer Township, was arrested Dec. 24 by SSCENT on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance. 

Strait

-Kegan David Strait, 21, of 720 E. Filer St., Ludington, was arrested Dec. 25 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on a felony charge of operating a vehicle under the influence causing incapacitation. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $5,000 cash.

Parker

-Jeremy Ray Parker, 42, of 7890 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Sheridan Township, was arrested Dec. 22 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on a felony charge of breaking and entering into a coin operated device. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Bail: $2,500 cash.

Misdemeanor Arraignments

-Chad Frederick Collins, no address listed; Dec. 26; MCSO; assault and battery and malicious destruction of personal property. Pretrial: Jan. 3 at 10:30 a.m. Bail: $500 cash.

-Harley Michael Fisher, 25, of 1779 Tallman Lake Rd., Branch Township; Dec.23; Scottville Police Department (SPD); second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $500 cash.

-Donnie Ray Totten, 26, no mailing address, Irons; Dec. 28; LPD; assault and battery. Pretrial: Jan. 3 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $500 cash.

Sentencings

-William David Clinton, 57, of 225 Commerce Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, pleaded no contest Dec. 14 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for 20 days served. The defendant shall be released to guardian or DHHS.
