Woman armed with axe arrested for meth possession, resisting arrest.

SCOTTVILLE — A 26-year-old Scottville woman was arrested Saturday, Dec. 11, shortly before 8 a.m. after a Mason County sheriff’s deputy arrived in the 400 block of East State Street to find her and a male subject “struggling over an axe,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“Deputies responded to a report of a female holding an axe and rambling incoherently,” said Sheriff Cole. “A deputy patrolling the area arrived within moments and found the female and a male struggling over the axe. The deputy was able to disarm the subject, and during booking into the Mason County Jail, a corrections deputy located 2.8 grams of suspect meth concealed on the female.”

She was arrested on charges of resisting and opposing arrest and methamphetamine possession.
