Fire damages Sheridan Township house.

SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — Fire damaged a house at 3746 N. Morse Road this morning. Firefighters from Fountain Area Fire Department and Branch Township Fire Department were initially called to the house at 9:12 a.m. Initial dispatch information stated a passerby had noticed smoke coming from the attic of the house. Nobody was home at the time.

Custer Fire Department and Free Soil/Meade Fire Department were also called to assist along with Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies on scene said the house is owned by Jason Stickney, Stickney Properties, LLC., but did not know who the occupant of the home was. Deputies added that two dogs may have perished in the fire.

Firefighters remained on scene as of posting at 11:40 a.m.
