Norton Shores man arrested for 6th driving while license suspended.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 50-year-old Norton Shores man was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office at 10:17 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31 for driving while license suspended, sixth offense. The man also had a failure to appear in court arrest warrant from Newaygo County. The arrest occurred following a traffic stop at US 10-31 and Dennis Road. During the traffic stop deputies also found suspected methamphetamine. According to Sheriff Kim Cole, charges of possession of methamphetamine are pending the return of laboratory results.

  • 7:30 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Fountain Road west of Larson Road, Sheridan Township. 
  • 10:54 a.m., MCSO: A 50-year-old homeless Mason County man was arrested after deputies responded to a report of a storage unit door kicked in and broken into at Railsaide Self Storage, 5151 W. US 10, Pere Marquette Township. The suspect was identified and arrested after he would reportedly was found sleeping in his vehicle

  • 9 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Johnson Road west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township. 

Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021. 

  • 5:25 p.m., MCSO: Deputies have forwarded a report seeking charges of larceny and trespassing against a 43-year-old Branch man in connection to an incident near Young and Landon roads, Branch Township involving the alleged larceny of a trail camera. 
  • 7:32 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries,, Benson and Marshall roads, Branch Township. 
  • 8:29 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 north of Beyer Road, Sherman Township.
