Victim hospitalized following domestic assault.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The victim of an aggravated domestic assault on Barnhart Road was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for facial injuries Sunday, Aug. 22, shortly before 10 a.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

A 29-year-old Ludington man was arrested after a 911 call was made reporting the assault, said Sheriff Cole.

Friday, Aug. 20, 2021:

  • 1:27 a.m., a 29-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued in Mason County and a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine, First Street near Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 5:55 a.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of LaSalle Road, Victory Township.
  • 12:32 p.m., fraud, 700 block of Deer Run Road, Grant Township. The complainant reported unauthorized withdrawals from a bank account.

Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021:

  • 11:31 a.m., larceny, 1400 block of South Lakeshore Drive, Pere Marquette Township. The complainant reported a 16-foot yellow Valley kayak was stolen. 
  • 5:36 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Fountain and Petersen roads, Victory Township.
  • 5:42 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
