Storm causes major damage. 

Strong winds and severe thunderstorms swept through Mason County late Tuesday evening causing several powerlines and trees to come down. A significant number of roads throughout Mason County may remain impassable or have standing water through this morning. The areas with the most damage include the City of Ludington, Pere Marquette Township, Summit Township, and Riverton Township.

Consumers Energy is reporting power outages in various parts of the county.
