Man wanted for domestic violence injures hand when punching out window at victim’s house.

LUDINGTON — ​A 36-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Ludington police Friday, Aug. 6, at ​5 p.m. in the ​700 block of North Rowe Street on an outstanding domestic violence warrant issued by the 79th District Court, said Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski.

The man was also charged with malicious destruction of property for breaking a window at the address. The victim of the property damage — a 36-year-old Ludington woman — was also the victim listed on the domestic violence warrant.

The man injured his hand after punching the glass out of the victim’s window. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail after receiving treatment for the injury inthe emergency room at Spectrum Health Ludington Hopsital.

The victim in the domestic violence incident, which happened on July 27 at the same address, did not report any injuries, said Cpt. Wietrzykowski.

  • ​5:09 p.m., a 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested for methamphetamine possession, ​300 block of West Filer Street, City of Ludington​. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • ​7:51 p.m., ​a 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested for methamphetamine possession and on four outstanding failure to appear warrants issued by the 79th District Court, Dowland and Washington​ streets, City of Ludington.  He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
