PM Township man pleads to 3rd-offense domestic violence.

LUDINGTON — A 28-year-old Pere Marquette Township man pleaded “no contest” to third-offense domestic violence in 51st Circuit Court Friday, Aug. 6, after assaulting his wife last March.

Gregory Alexander Jolly, of 5728 W. Johnson Rd., faces a sentence of a one-year discretionary jail term with Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) and an alcohol assessment.

Jolly punched his wife in the head at the Amber Township Hall, said Judge Susan K. Sniegowski.

Jolly entered a “no contest” plea because he has “no recollection due to intoxication,” said his attorney Dawn Goodwin.

Sentencing guidelines in the case are 0-11 months, said Judge Sniegowski. Jolly has two previous domestic violence convictions, she said.

Sentencing is set for Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
