The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021:

  • 9:33 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 26-year-old Fountain man was arrested for domestic assault following a 911 call reporting an assault, 7100 block of Martin Avenue, Branch Township.
  • 4:52 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road north of Fisher Road, Victory Township.
  • 5:26 p.m., (MCSO), a 40-year-old Fountain man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, Hansen and Schoenherr roads, Custer Township. 
  • 9:26 pm., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Marrison Road west of Schwass Road, Riverton Township.
  • 9:39 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 51-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC)/super drunk, Robert and Court​ streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021:

  • ​1:57 a.m., (LPD), a 74-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was cited for refusal of the preliminary breath test (PBT), ​Washington and First​ streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
