2 arrested for drunk driving in separate crashes.

MASON COUNTY — Two suspects were arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies in separate vehicle crashes over the weekend, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The first crash occurred Saturday, July 31, shortly after 3 p.m. on Nurnberg Road east of Pleasant Hill in Grant Township.

A 52-year-old Lovington, Illinois man was arrested for operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) after a deputy witnessed the suspect strike a parked vehicle and drive away. “He was pulled over and found to be intoxicated,” said Sheriff Cole. No one was injured.

The second crash occurred Sunday, Aug. 1, shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Rybicki Road south of Hoague Road in Free Soil Township. A 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated following a single-vehicle rollover crash. He was found walking down the road a short distance from the crash scene. No one was injured.
