HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A 26-year-old Ludington woman was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on a felony assault charge Wednesday, July 28, shortly before 3 a.m. in the 6600 block of Linden Street after she allegedly made threats with a knife, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The following is other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, July 28, 2021:

• 12:09 a.m., assault, US 10 and Wever Road, Branch Township. The complainant reported getting “sucker punched” by a person he knows while seated in his vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
• 5:30 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Darr Road, Sherman Township.
• 5:45 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Tuttle Road, Custer Township.
