Sheridan Twp. man arrested for domestic violence.

SCOTTVILLE — Nicholas Lee Lester, 33, of 6717 E. Sherman Road, Sheridan Township, was arrested Tuesday, July 13, 2021, by Scottville Police Department. Scottville police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of East Broadway Avenue about 10:30 a.m. for a report of a domestic assault. 

Scottville Police Chief Matt Murphy said Lester was arrested following an investigation. Lester was arraigned in 79th District Court on felony charges of interfering with an electronic device and misdemeanor charges of domestic violence. 

Bail was set at $1,000 cash. Lester was released after posting bail. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on July 28 in district court. 

On Nov. 17, 2020, Lester was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy) and felony firearms. Lester had been out on bond on those charges.
