Ludington man arrested for assaulting bouncers.

LUDINGTON — ​A 47-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Ludington police officers for assault and battery against bouncers at the Sand Bar on James Street Saturday, June 5, shortly before 11:30 p.m., according to Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski.

“The man and a 27-year-old Ludington woman were being escorted out of the Sand Bar by bouncers when fighting broke out,” said Wietrzykowski. “The report states the man and woman were intoxicated and causing a disturbance inside the bar.”

“The woman received a cut above her eye during the fight and was taken to Spectrum Ludington Hospital by Ludington police. Follow-up investigation and further disposition is pending regarding the woman’s involvement in the incident.”

The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested by LPD for operating while intoxicated Sunday, June 6, shortly before 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Staffon Street​.
