Ludington man arrested for punching woman in the nose.

LUDINGTON — A 39-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Ludington police for aggravated domestic assault and battery, bond violation, and interfering with a 911 call Thursday, May 13, shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the 400 block of South Harrison Street, according to Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski of the Ludington Police Department.

“The man had been living with the victim, a 38-year-old Ludington woman, for the past three years in a dating relationship,” said Wietrzykowski. “At the time of complaint, the 79th District Court had a no contact order in place prohibiting the man from having contact with the woman. At the time of the incident, the woman allowed the man in her home.

“An argument started and became heated,” he said. “The man refused to leave the apartment. The woman attempted to call 911, but the man took her phone from her. Moments later he punched her in the nose with a ringed-finger causing a cut on the bridge of her nose. The man left the apartment, but was tracked down later in the 200 block of South Park Street and arrested.”

The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail. The victim was taken to the emergency room by police to get treatment for her cut.
