79th District Court news, posted April 23, 2021.

LUDINGTON — The following criminal case activity took place in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Woods

-Brody Christopher Woods, 20, of 676 N. Stiles Rd., Amber Township, was arrested April 15 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on a felony charge of malicious destruction of personal property. Probable cause hearing: April 28 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $10,000/10 percent.

Avra

-Jessy Lee Avra, 45, of 1933 W. Hansen Rd., Amber Township, was arrested Feb. 28 by MCSO on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: April 27 at 9:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

-Erica Lenee Mithcell, 39, of 8381 Spruce Ave., Newaygo, was arrested Sept. 17, 2020 by MCSO on a felony charge of uttering and publishing. Probable cause hearing: April 27 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.

Koslow

-Kimberly Ellis Koslow, 50, of 6372 E. Ridge Ave., Sheridan Township, was arrested April 19 by MCSO on felony charges of assault/resisting/obstructing a police officer, second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle. Probable cause hearing: April 28 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

 

Misdemeanors

-Christopher David Chesebro, 22, of 176 Lincoln St., Manistee; April 17; MCSO; OWI. Pretrial: May 17 at 11 a.m. Bail: $250 cash.

-Eddie Keith Rogers, 65, of 722 E. Danaher St., Ludington; April 18; Ludington Police Department (LPD); domestic violence. Pretrial: May 3 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.

Sentencings

-Timothy Bryan Shick, 53, of 2841 Wilson St., Conklin, pleaded guilty April 21 to aggravated assault and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; must have a sex offender evaluation within 60 days; and $735 in fines/costs. Felony charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct were dismissed with prejudice on the motion of the prosecutor.
