79th District Court sentencings, posted March 12, 2021.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Eleasar Esparza, Jr., 29, of 5634 W. Johnson Rd., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty March 9 to prohibited use of chemical agents and was sentenced to 22 days in jail with credit for 22 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend AA/NA two times per week for one year; must continue current counseling program; and $129.97 in fines/costs.

-Charles Alton Petersen, 47, of 1675 W. Conrad Rd., Amber Township, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to second offense domestic violence and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; must have an anger management evaluation; and $595 in fines/costs. 

-Adam Lee Passarelli, 32, of 1710 Manz, Muskegon, pleaded guilty March 8 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for 93 days served and no contact with the victim for one year.

-Patricia Ann Dasaro, 63, of 2860 Lena Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty March 9 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for six months and $942.44 in fines/costs/restitution.

-Jarrett Kenned Strohmer-Ardell, 30, of 14300 Royal Scot Way W, West Olive, pleaded no contest March 8 to aggravated assault and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; may not be within 100 feet of victim; and $815 in fines/costs. A charge of second degree criminal sexual conduct was dismissed.

-Kyle David Freshour, 26, of 6586 E. Stolberg Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty March 2 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete current counseling program; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to  Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or above was dismissed.

Dismissals

-Makayla Shantae Snyder, 21, of 906 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, had charges of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and unlawful use of license plates dismissed on March 8 as part of a plea agreement where she pleaded guilty to a civil infraction of no proof of insurance.

-Chaz Larree Bryant, 35, of 6943 Christmas Ln. SW, Kentwood, had charges of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on March 2 as part of a plea agreement where he pleaded guilty to a civil infraction of no proof of insurance.

-Ronald Lee North, 23, of 3208 N. Amber Rd., Victory Township, had charges of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on March 2 as part of a plea agreement where he pleaded guilty to a civil infraction of no proof of insurance.
