HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A 50-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Sunday, Jan. 31, shortly after 7 p.m. on charges of domestic assault and assault by strangulation after allegedly assaulting two women in the 6500 block of West Linden Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Deputies responded to the home following a 911 call. “The dispatcher could hear a female screaming on the phone,” said Sheriff Cole. “Arriving deputies found two females — 40 and 20 years of age — who both had been assaulted. It was reported the male was intoxicated and wanted to leave, but one of the females would not give him the (car) keys. He then reportedly assaulted her, and a second female (the 20-year-old) who had attempted to stop the assault.”
