Obituary: Alice Woodard, 83, Muskegon.

Alice Eleanor Woodard, 83, of Muskegon passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. She was born August 4, 1937 in Detroit to Gerald Benson and Anna Woodard.

Alice was a member of the Muskegon VFW. She was a devout Christian and was a member at East Muskegon Church of God, Norton Shores Assembly of God, and finally Woodmere Church of God. She enjoyed Christian music and she was a caring and giving person. Alice would gladly give the shirt off her back if someone needed it. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice also enjoyed crafts, especially cross stitch. She would make cross stitch and sell them at the nursing home where she lived.

Alice is survived by her son, Terry (Tina) Woodard of Fountain; her grandchildren, Kurt (Kristen), Kyle (Krystal), and Angela; her great-grandchildren, Danika, Daitona, Gracelyn, Bailey, Kevin, and Brayden; her sister, Gladys (Jerry) Woodyard;  and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her brother Gerald “Butch” Benson Jr. and her sister, Donna Ellis.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is being planned for the spring.
