Ludington man faces weapons charges.

LUDINGTON — A 27-year-old Ludington man has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Lancelot Christopher Peebles of 506 E. Danaher St., Apt. 3, was arraigned in 79th District Court on Aug. 14 on the felony charges. According to court records, Peebles was allegedly a victim in a gun assault that took place in that same block on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 13. Jeffery Allen Kaiser, 58, of 209 S. Rowe St., faces nine counts in relation to that case. (See related story here).

According to Ludington Police Chief Timothy Kozal, the charges against Peebles are not related to the Kaiser case but are the result of an investigation that was conducted following the incident.

Bail was set at $2,500, 10%. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Aug. 25.
