SHERMAN TOWNSHIP – A 27-year-old Scottville man was cited for reckless driving and his passenger, who is a 50-year-old Scottville man, was cited for assault following a road rage incident Friday, June 26, shortly after 4 p.m. at Sugar Grove and Custer roads, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“The incident followed a reported reckless driver call,” Cole said. “The caller of the original complaint (the 27-year-old) then reportedly passed the other vehicle and slammed on the brakes causing a rear-end crash. His 50-year-old passenger then exited the vehicle and assaulted the other driver, a 25 year-old Ludington man. All subjects did know each other, and it is believed the incident started with a work-related matter.”
