Tractor/car crash results in minor injuries.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 35-year-old Scottville area man received non-life-threatening injuries after his car crashed into a tractor Thursday afternoon. Emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Scottville and Chauvez roads at 1:43 p.m. According to Mason County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Kyle Boyd, on scene, a 16-year-old Riverton Township male was driving the tractor westbound on Chauvez Road and did not see the northbound Oldsmobile Alero over the small hill to the south of the intersection. The Alero struck the Allis-Chalmers 185 tractor, which was hauling a hay rake, in the engine compartment, its hood impacted below the tractor and its driver. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Emergency units responding to the scene included MCSO, Scottville Police Department, Riverton Fire Department, Custer Fire Department, and Life EMS.
