Tuesday is Presidential Primary in Michigan. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters may only vote in one party’s primary, Democrat or Republican. Some precincts also have other issues on the ballot, see below.

Republican candidates include:

Other ballot issues:

  • Free Soil Township voters are being asked to approve a .5 mill increase for five years for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Free Soil Community Center. The estimated increase will raise approximately $16,000 in the first year.
  • Residents who live in the Manistee Area Public School District, are being asked to approve a bond that will allow the school to borrow up to $29,800,000 for 25 years for the purpose of erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to school buildings; remodeling, equipping and re-equipping and furnishing and refurnishing school buildings; acquiring, installing, equipping or re-equipping school buildings for instructional technology; and preparing, developing, improving and equipping playgrounds and sites. The first year would be levied at 2.65 mills.
  • Residents who live in the Manistee Intermediate School District are being asked to renew .2104 mill for five years for special education.
