79th District Court sentencings, posted March 6, 2020.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Kelsie Lynn LaFreniere, 28, of 6271 W. Mistey Ln., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty March 3 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend AA three times per week for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs; must attend recovery management services; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content (over .17) was dismissed.

-Deborah Jaunita Krajkiewicz, 58, of 428 E. Wilson Rd., Custer Township, pleaded guilty March 3 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend counseling; and $595 in fines/costs. May perform 60 hours of community service in lieu of fines/costs.

-Branden Lee Bryant, 30, of 6703 Lorne Dr., Riverton Township, pleaded guilty March 3 to driving with an invalid license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines/costs. Charges of driving without vehicle insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle and unlawful license plates were dismissed.

-Thayne David Patterson, 33, of 1039 N. William St., Ludington, pleaded guilty March 3 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to pay $335 in fines/costs.

-Cheryl Lynn Baker, 68, of 3062 S. Custer Rd., Eden Township, pleaded guilty March 3 to attempted third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 45 days discretionary jail for six months and $595 in fines/costs.

-Christian Frederick Tramp, 59, of 6500 Stoney Creek Rd., Ypsilanti, pleaded guilty March 3 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance use evaluation; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must continue current counseling program; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content (over .17) was dismissed.

-Heather Lynn Campbell-Peterson, 48, of 84 Maple St., Manistee, pleaded no contest March 3 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 45 days discretionary jail for six months and $351.65 in fines/costs/restitution.

-Shawn Michael Babcock, 42, of 6609 Summer Meadows, Rockford, pleaded guilty March 4 to OWI and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,070 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Kevin Vincent Curran, 58, of 201 E. Melendy St., Ludington, pleaded guilty March 3 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for o ne year; must have a substance use evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; no contact with the victim; subject to random PBTs and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed.
