Felonious assault tops 79th District Court arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Larsen

-Howard Mark Larson, 34, of 3956 N. Forest Ln., Victory Township, was arrested Feb. 28 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) and aggravated domestic assault second offense. Probable cause hearing: March 11 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $10,000 cash/surety.

Chapman

-Kelley Rae Chapman, 53, of 227 Lakeside Dr., Ludington, was arrested March 2 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on a felony charge of malicious destruction of personal property over $1,000. Probable cause hearing: March 18 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent. See related story here.

– Carl Lee Herring, 29, no address listed, was arrested March 3 by LPD on felony charges of assault/resisting/obstructing police and habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: March 11 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Shanklin

-James R. Shanklin, Jr., 56, of 5525 N. Custer Rd., Sherman Township, was arrested Feb. 29 by MCSO on a felony charge of third offense operating a vehicle while under the influence of liquor (OUIL). Probable cause hearing: March 11 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Ter-Harr

-Joseph Benjamin Ter-Haar, 33, of 3160 N. Amber Rd., Victory Township, was arrested Oct. 28 by MCSO on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy). Probable cause hearing: March 11 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Rangel

-Guadalupe Rangel, 45, of 5757 Victory Corners Rd., Victory Township, was arrested Jan. 29 by LPD on a felony charge of assault/resisting/obstructing police. Probable cause hearing: March 11 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

-Jeannette Lorraine Blow, 52, of 3694 W. Hidden Forest Dr., Amber Township; Feb. 27; MCSO; operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). Pretrial: March 30 at 10 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Jeffrey Leigh Buter, 61, of 489 E. Deer Rd., Hart; Feb. 26; LPD; OWI. Pretrial: March 30 at 9 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Bryce Johnathan Faulkner, 26, of 1850 W. 36th St., Baldwin; Feb. 21; LPD; second offense domestic violence. Pretrial: March 2 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Dewayne Lamar Williams, 44, of 4207 S. James Rd., Baldwin; Feb. 26; MCSO; purchasing a pistol without a license and receiving/concealing stolen property. Pretrial: March 9 at 9:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Frank Demaurio Wilson, 51, of 1101 S. Madison St., Ludington; Feb. 14; LPD; third degree retail fraud. Pretrial: March 2 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal recognizance. 

-Sean Russell Daugherty, 35, of 3624 Forest Hill Cr., Amber Township; March 2; LPD; second degree retail fraud, trespassing and malicious destruction of property. Pretrial: March 9 at 10:30 a.m. Bail: $2500/10 percent.
