AMBER TOWNSHIP — A male subject who was airlifted to Grand Rapids from the scene of a two-vehicle head-on crash in the area of Conrad and Amber roads Monday afternoon, March 2, suffered “serious, but non-life-threatening injuries,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The accident report is not yet completed, Cole said, so there are few details immediately available. However, Cole said the other driver was also injured but not seriously.

“The less-seriously-injured driver was cited for careless driving after he had attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway and did so into the path of an oncoming vehicle,” the sheriff said.

The person who was airlifted from the scene by Aeromed was pinned inside in the vehicle, he said.

More information will be provided when it is available.
