MCC forensics team finishes first in Beaverton Invite.
BEAVERTON — The Mason County Central High School Forensics Team finished first place out of seven teams Saturday at the Beaverton Invitational.
“This was an excellent outing for our team,” Head Coach Tom Richert said. “This is even more experience to grow and develop for the tournaments ahead of us.”
Richert said he is pleased with this year’s results and the team is working hard to regain the state championship it earned in 2018.
“It is all about the hard work and team building that happens every night,” Richert said. “They help each other and the results are showing each week. We travel to Michigan State University next week to go against the best in the state class A, B, C/D. It will be a major test for us. But I think we are ready for the challenge.”
