Conservation District annual meeting, dinner is Feb. 11

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Mason-Lake Conservation District will hold its annual meeting and dinner banquet on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 765 W. US10. The event begins at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Conservation District staff will have booths on display to share accomplishments of 2019 and current programs available to the public. Polls will be open for the board of directors elections prior to dinner. Dinner will be catered by Gloria Ann’s catering, and will include Italian chicken, Sunday pot roast and sides.

Following dinner, guest speaker Dan Zay of Natural Resources Conservation Service will present on the ecological value of prescribed fire and the use of fire on small projects. The evening will wrap up with award presentations for Outstanding Conservationist, Volunteer of the Year, results of the board of director’s election as well as raffle and door prize winners.

Tickets are $14 per person, payable at the Conservation District office,

or via phone by calling the Conservation District Office, 655 N. Scottville Road, or by calling 231-757-3707. RSVP is required by February 4. No ticket purchase is necessary to vote for the director election. Ballots will be available at the door.
