Winter majesty
PERE MARQUETE TOWNSHIP — Photographer Rachel Gaudette, owner of Rachel M Photography, shot this picture this morning, Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at the Pere Marquette River Flats along Pere Marquette Highway.
“This was my best wildlife shot I’ve ever captured,” Gaudette said.
The image was made at 8:54 a.m. with a Nikon D810 camera with a 60-600 mm lens set at 600 mm. The shutter was set at 1/250th of a second, aperture at f6.3 and ISO at 6400.
Gaudette is currently working on a project of capturing a photograph every day this year, 366 days.
