79th District Court sentencings, posted Jan. 9, 2020.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Jeremiah Philip Meyers, 38, of 9584 N. Tuttle Rd., Free Soil Township, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to reckless driving and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend AA five times per month for two years; must continue VA counseling; must attend victim’s impact panel; must enroll in an inpatient treatment facility; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend outpatient substance use disorder program; and $50 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of operating a vehicle with a high blood alcohol content and operating while intoxicated (OWI) were dismissed.

-Aaron Schuyler Fink, 24, of 7731 Six Mile Bridge Rd., Manistee, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated and attempted assault/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $1,550 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. Two counts of assault/resisting/obstructing police and driving while license suspended were dismissed.

-Ashely Marie Lockhart, 33, of 204 S. Dryden St., Apt. F, Hart, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to embezzlement and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; $1,732.78 in restitution; and $595 in fines/costs. An additional charge of embezzlement and second degree retail fraud were dismissed.

-Charles Martin Kraus, 49, of 1214 N. Washington Ave., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty Jan. 8 to larceny by conversion and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; no contact with the victim; $433 in restitution; and $1,295 in fines/costs. May perform 130 hours of community service in lieu of paying fines/costs. Charges of embezzlement from a vulnerable adult, larceny by conversion and habitual offender were dismissed.

-William Nicholas Cummins, 56, of 6161 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; must attend the DUI education program; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Thomas John Carrier, 47, of 5110 Orshal Rd., Whitehall, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to OUIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one years; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTS; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Megan Verona Krupinski, 36, of 407 N. Thomas St., Scottville, pleaded guilty Oct. 29 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to nine days in jail with credit for nine days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend AA two times per week; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend outpatient substance use disorder program; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed.

-Xandra Anne Bryant, 29, of 115 S. State St., Apt. 201, Scottville, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to OWIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact pane; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Jesse Marie Makowicki, 21, of 2111 N. Lincoln Rd., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to OWIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana/controlled substances; subject to random PBTs; must attend DUI education program; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content level was dismissed.

-Austin Bradley Pringle, 17, of 702 N. Harrison St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to third offense minor in possession of alcohol and was sentenced to 60 days discretionary jail for one year; 52 hours of community service; must have a substance abuse evaluation; subject to random PBTs and drug tests.

-Manuel Bernie Santos, 78, of 1030 S. State St., Hart, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to larceny and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $326 in restitution and $125 in fines/costs.

-Darrell Leigh Wright, 57, of 811 Brother St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Jan. 6 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of OWI was dismissed.

-Austin Josiah Ohlendorf, 27, of 607 E. Danaher St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and must pay $635 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

-Kaine Alexander Linstrom, 24, of 909 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 1, Ludington had a charge of harboring misdemeanants dismissed without prejudice on Jan. 8.

-Michael Robert Shook, 43, of 1311 S. Madison St., Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without insurance dismissed without prejudice on Jan. 8 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction.

Melvin Jeffrey Gilman, Jr., 51, of 710 E. Third  St., Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without insurance dismissed without prejudice on Jan. 8 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction.

-Akila Horton Body, 46, of 202 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 2, Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without insurance dismissed without prejudice on Jan. 8 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction.
