Male suspect apprehended after making threats.

SCOTTVILLE — A 46-year-old male suspect has been apprehended after he apparently was making threats to harm himself and others. The incident began shortly before 8 a.m. on US 10/31 between Dennis and Stiles roads. The suspect ran from law enforcement. About an hour later, he was apprehended at the Wesco station in Scottville, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Following safety protocols, area schools were placed on soft lockdown, Cole said. The lockdown has since been lifted.
