SCOTTVILLE — Ryan Graham has been appointed by the city commission as a new first ward commissioner. Graham is replacing Sue Petipren, who resigned in November 2019, one year short of the end of her term. Graham, who grew up in Amber Township and is a graduate of Mason County Central High School, was the only person to apply for the position.

Graham is the head of the Scottville Youth Football program and said he has an interest in the town’s recreation programs. He also has extensive knowledge in budgeting and public safety. He is employed by Toshiba, the contracting firm that has been renovating the Ludington Pumped Storage Facility.
