Fire destroys house trailer, vehicles.

CUSTER TOWNSHIP — Fire destroyed a house trailer and two vehicles late Sunday evening at 428 E. Wilson Road. Scottville Fire Department and Custer Fire Department were the first two departments dispatched to the scene about 10:15 p.m. Upon arrival of the first vehicles, the trailer and the two vehicles were fully engulfed in flames. Riverton Fire Department was also called to assist and later Branch Township Fire Department was dispatched with the Mason County Rural Fire Authority’s air trailer. Also responding were Michigan State Police, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Life EMS and Great Lakes Energy.

It was unclear if the home was occupied. The fire was extinguished by 11:30 p.m. Law enforcement was investigating the incident.
