LUDINGTON — A Ludington man was injured after he was struck by a minivan at the intersection of Ludington and Washington avenues Sunday evening. The crash occurred about 6:45 p.m. when the pedestrian apparently was crossing Ludington Avenue and walked into the path of an eastbound Dodge minivan driven by a 49-year-old Spring Lake man, according to Ludington Police Department Sgt. Jason Smith. The pedestrian hit the windshield of the minivan. Smith said the driver was traveling with the green light and said he did not see the pedestrian, who did not have the right-of-way.

The pedestrian was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance. His age was not immediately known.

Responding agencies included Ludington Police Department, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Ludington Fire Department, and Life EMS.
