MCE students donate to Miss Sawyer’s Kids with a Cause. 

CUSTER — Mason County Eastern elementary students recently raised funds for the school’s annual Christmas Tree. Students donated $1 to make and add each ornament to the tree. The students raised $130 and the funds were donated to Miss Sawyer’s Kids with a Cause, which makes Christmas stockings for men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Heather Hendrickson, Sawyer’s mother, said 9,000 stockings have been made so far this season. She will be meeting President Donald Trump later this week.
