Ludington council approves contract to repair retaining wall.

LUDINGTON — During its regular meeting tonight, Ludington City Council approved a $185,000 contract with Hardman Construction of Amber Township to repair an eroded retaining wall at Heritage Park south of Loomis Street boat ramps. Hardman Construction was the low bidder. The high bid was $285,000 from Hallack Contracting of Hart.

High Lake Michigan water levels have caused massive erosion along much of the lakeshore. Throughout the summer the Heritage Park walkway had been deteriorating but finally gave way in November.
