SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — Voters in Sherman Township voted in favor of a five year 1 mill tax increase for road improvements during Tuesday’s general election. The results were 38, yes; 18, no, a total of 56 votes, which is about 15% of the approximate 860 registered voters.
Beginning this year, Sherman Township taxpayers will see the increase which is expected to raise approximately $44,425.55 the first year. The money will be used for solid brining and improvements of the township’s roads.
