3 vehicles involved in Scottville bypass crash.

UPDATED INFORMATION: The original post stated four vehicles were involved. The fourth vehicle, a Chrysler minivan, was at the crash scene and its occupants assisted at the scene. But, the vehicle was not involved in the crash. 

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Four vehicles were involved in a crash at the intersection of US 10 and the US 31 bypass just west of Scottville Thursday evening. The crash took place about 6:30 p.m. It was initially reported as a non-injury crash. It was then reported that one of the vehicles involved, a GMC Envoy SUV, was on fire with people trapped inside. Though someone was trapped inside, there was no fire. The GMC Envoy and a Ford Explorer pickup truck both appeared to be heading westbound on US 10, and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck appeared to have been eastbound on US 10 and was turning northbound on US 31.

Four patients were transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance. They included a 70-year-old Ludington man, a 49-year-old Branch man, a 44-year-old Branch woman, and a 12-year-old Branch boy. All injuries were non-life-threatening.

Responding emergency units included Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Scottville Police Department, Scottville Fire Department, Custer Fire Department, and Life EMS.
