79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted Oct. 18, 2019..

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Nicole Christine Jaquinde, 47, of 7112 Baltic Dr. SW, Byron Center, pleaded no contest Oct. 8 to attempted assault/resisting/obstructing a police officer and operating a vehicle with a high blood alcohol content. She was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for 15 days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must attend substance use disorder program; and $1,400 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer was dismissed.

-Micah Glen Baumgartner, 36, of 9574 Warnick Rd., Frankenmuth, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend alcohol highway safety education class; must attend victim’s impact panel; must obtain Soberlink for 120 days; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; no marijuana; must obtain substance abuse counseling; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Kevin Joseph Brinkman, 21, of 5297 Rescue Rd., Gagetown, Michigan, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to OUIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,145 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Dominick Stuart Juarez, 21, of 105 S. Wildwood Crossings, Apt. 15, Amber Township, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to OUIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; must complete alcohol highway safety education; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Valentine Alejandro Segura, 22, of 611 E. Dowland St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to OUIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend the SBIRT prevention program; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must obtain Soberlink for 90 days; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Rudy Lee Walkley, 30, of 5211 W. Meisenheimer Rd., Summit Township, pleaded no contest Sept. 25 to attempted assault/resisting/obstructing a police officer and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must obtain outpatient substance use disorder program; and $815 in fines/costs. Two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and one count of disorderly drunk person were dismissed.

-William James Collier, 35, of 408 First St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have anger management evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; no contact with the victim; and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed.

-Tina Marie Holey, 50, of PO Box 222, Scottville, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $250 in restitution, and $125 in fines/costs.

Dismissals

-Marion Elizabeth Lovato, 55, of 5070 W. Decker Rd., Hamlin Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated dismissed without prejudice on Oct. 14 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Tambra Suzanne Olmstead, 42, of 5405 E. Hasenbank Rd., Meade Township, had a charge of failure to stop after a personal injury accident dismissed without prejudice on Oct. 15 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-James Joseph Crank, III, 38, of 6173 Archer St. NE, Rockford, had a charge of reckless driving dismissed without prejudice on Oct. 15 after pleading guilty to a different charge.

-Anthony John Pianto, 44, of 709 Fifth St., Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed without prejudice on Oct. 15. According to court records, “Ends of justice do not require prosecution.”

-Christian Owen Smeltzer, 17, of 407 N. Robert St., Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed without prejudice on Oct. 15 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Tania Talea Garcia Hernandez, 26, of 2272 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Sherman Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed without prejudice on Oct. 15 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.
