LUDINGTON – A 35-year-old Sheridan Township woman will owe $3,139 in restitution to Walmart after pleading guilty in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Oct. 1, to first-degree retail fraud.

Allison Marie Bunker, of 5342 E. Fountain Rd., faces serving 90 days up front of a one-year discretionary jail term for the conviction, said Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola.

In exchange for her plea, a second-degree retail fraud charge in 79th District Court was dismissed.

Over the course of several weeks, Bunker stole $3,139 in merchandise from Walmart by ‘under-ringing’ in the self check-out lane, she testified before Judge Susan K. Sniegowski.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.
