Mason County Promise design winners.

Four local students recently won the Mason County Promise Design Contest. In the K-2 division, Peyton Flood created the winning bookmark design.  In the third through fifth grade division, Carley Sova designed the winning bookmark.  Reese Willis is the winner of the middle school division.  And Hanna Ashley is the winner in the high school division.

Their winning designs are promoting the Mason County Promise to students throughout the county. The Mason County Promise is a scholarship program for students in Mason County.  Eligible students will be able to earn a two-year college degree, certificate, or approved credential from West Shore Community College that is tuition free. Students who graduate from Ludington Area School District, Mason County Central, Mason County Eastern or Gateway To Success Academy with a grade point of 2.0 or higher, or who obtain a GED are eligible for the Promise. For information about the Mason County Promise program, go to masoncountypromise.org.
