One injured in Riverton crash.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 53-year-old man was injured Monday afternoon when the vehicle he was riding in was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Stiles and Hawley roads. The man was riding in a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV that was struck by an eastbound Ford Mustang. The male driver of the Mustang disregarded the stop sign, according to Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies on the scene.

The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m.

The passenger was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance.

Responding emergency units included MCSO, Riverton Fire Department, and Life EMS.
