State Police seeking identity of suspect in hit-and-run crash.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Troopers from the Michigan State Police Hart Post are investigating a hit and run crash that occurred on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Ludington Walmart store around 6:22 p.m.  Preliminary investigation showed that a newer model Toyota Highlander, or similar type SUV vehicle, maroon in color, negotiated the parking lot and crashed into a parked, unoccupied vehicle.  There were significant damages to the victim vehicle.

According to a press release from MSP, the operator of the SUV was observed inspecting the damage to both vehicles before leaving the scene and driving to the other side of the parking lot.  The male driver was then observed, by store surveillance video, entering the store and purchasing several items.
