PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Mary Rozell of Free Soil was named the 2019 Western Michigan Fair Homemaker of the Year Wednesday afternoon. Rozell entered 54 items and placed with 40 of them, which included two best of show trophies (best baked goods and best agricultural products/crops), 20 first place entries, nine second place entries and 11 third place entries.

Other participants who placed included, in back, from left: Della St. Louis of Ludington, second place; Debra Weaver of Riverton Township, third place; Amanda Hepworth of Custer, fifth place; and Nancy Supran of Free Soil, sixth place. Missing is Rachelle Gaudette of Custer, fourth place.
