79th District Court sentencings and dismissals, posted Aug. 2, 2019.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-James Richard Ruzgis, 61, of 3336 N. Tuttle Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty July 24 to disorderly person drunk and was sentenced to pay $285 in fines/costs.

-Donald William Price, 63, of 9236 S. Sawyer Ave., Evergreen Park, Illinois, pleaded guilty July 30 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must comply with ten hours of DUI risk education; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must obtain substance abuse counseling, and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of transporting an open intoxicant in a vehicle was dismissed.

-Eugene Thomas Duncil, 51, of 3100 E. Townline Rd., Free Soil Township, pleaded no contest July 30 to possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must have a substance abuse evaluation; no contact with the victim; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and $745 in fines/costs. A charge of second offense domestic violence was dismissed.

-Jerry Jawaun-Raymond Gist, 23, of 1615 W. Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant, pleaded guilty July 30 to OUIL and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,045 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Paulenea Tiffanie Hornacek, 27, of PO Box 313, Walhalla, pleaded guilty July 30 to driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol/controlled substances without a valid prescription; must continue current outpatient counseling; and $595 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. May perform 60 hours of community service in lieu of fines/costs. A charge of improper license plates was dismissed.

 

Dismissals

-Laura Ann D’Agostino, 35, of 7279 M-116, Hamlin Township, had a charge of malicious destruction to a building less than $1,000 dismissed without prejudice on July 23 in accord and satisfaction with the complainant.

-Gavin Ray Routh, 24, of 1101 Madison St., Ludington, had a charge of furnishing obscenity to children dismissed without prejudice on July 24. According to court records, “Defendant was sentenced to prison on a probation violation. Interest of justice do not require prosecution.”

-John Robert Fenner, 48, of 600 Kusciusko St., Manistee, had a charge of failure to pay child support dismissed without prejudice on July 26.

-Mark Vincent Schwab, 60, of 3065 N. Reek Rd., Sherman Township, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed without prejudice on July 23. According to court records, “People cannot probe matter beyond a reasonable doubt.”

-Randall J. Smith, 57, of 2203 N. State Rd., Wautoma, Wisconsin, had charges of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) and operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 19 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Matthew Louis-Leo Bruce, 50, of 6992 E. US-10, Branch Township, had a charge of second offense operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 23 as part of a plea agreement.

-Angela Marie Lipski, 55, of 5182 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, had a charge of second offense operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 23 as part of a plea agreement.

-Russell Ferris Cormany, IV, 17, of 3320 N. Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, had charges of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance), failure to stop after an accident and operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 23 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Janette McCreless Rees, 69, of 409 E. Whittier, Hesperia, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed without prejudice on July 30 per a prosecutor’s deferment agreement.

-Meagan Verona Krupinski, 35, of 407 N. Thomas St., Scottville, had a charge of operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 18 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Douglas Gordon LeClair, 64, of 3516 W. Hansen Rd., Amber Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 9 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Matthew Aaron Meyerink, 40, of 7115 Churchill St., Jenison, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 23 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Amy Marie Sherman, 39, of 8417 W. Bowling Green Blvd., Baldwin, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 23 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Lisa Lynne Clark, 57, of 274 E. Wilson, Scottville, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 23 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Charles James Gardner, 44, of 845 Beech St., Baldwin, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 23 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Cynthia Florinda Parrington, 63, of 375 Second St., Manistee, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 23 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Rachel Mare McLain, 38, of 405 S. Elm St., Scottville, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 23.

-Robert Brian Shank, 33, of 8733 E. Kinney Rd., Logan Township, had charges of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) and operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 30 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Danielle Kathleen Margare Ter-Haar, 20, of 7110 Martin Rd., Branch Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 30 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Kimberly Rae Nelson, 43, of 3333 N. Lincoln Rd., Hamlin Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 30.

-Shawnta Nicole Fowler, 26, of 2361 Riley St., Hudsonville, had charges of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) and operating an unregistered vehicle dismissed without prejudice on July 30 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

-Laura Yolanda Lessard, 47, of 1048 Lancer Lane, Lot 42, Pere Marquette Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 30 after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.
